About Carle Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
Located at 602 W University Ave, Urbana, IL 61801, Carle Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery operates as a dentist serving Urbana in Illinois. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
In Urbana, popular practices book routine cleanings weeks ahead, so call early or ask to be put on a cancellation list; emergency and walk-in clinics are the exception. Across Illinois, a new-patient exam with X-rays and a cleaning typically runs from about $150 to $350 without insurance, and many offices publish new-patient specials on their websites. Check the listing for hours, whether the office takes your insurance or Medicaid, languages spoken, wheelchair access and parking, then confirm by phone: insurance networks and providers change more often than the listings do.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. The most common schedule is 10 amβ5 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (844) 817-0343. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.
Its Google rating stands at 2.1 out of 5 from 13 reviews, which is below average for the category; consider the recent reviews carefully before visiting.
Urbana is in Illinois, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. Getting around Urbana is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Illinois's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

They don't accept Medicaid right now, Chicago is closest. Carle has become a nightmare, but at least the lady on the phone here was honest and explained that Medicaid patients closest option is Chicago and even listed Decatur and Indiana as places that also won't work. This saved me a ton of pain and suffering doing that kind of research myself

Horrible office and the way they work i have had an appointment booked since " LAST YEAR" and I got a message saying "they" canceled my appointment not me because they took out some program and decided that only a selected few still gets to receive service. But a person who has had this appointment made a year out cant be seen? This place was the last place that could help and a year later you canceled my appointment. Thats unfair I have been in pain so long and was looking forward to this just to be told " sorry we canceled your appointment " very unprofessional I could have been trying to find something last year and now I have too find something again if I can and wait God knows how long after ive already been waiting since lat year for this appointment. Very unprofessional and a complete waste of my time. Thanks for nothing

I am in extreme pain. I was refered to Carle for oral surgery but they refuse to help me because I dont live in Champaign county. Carle wants my help when the roof is leaking but they can't pull some teeth for me when I'm in pain because i live 40 miles away. I thought they take an oath to help people.

Everything that everyone hates about healthcare exists here. If you have Medicaid, you should absolutely seek care elsewhere. I had a consult more than 6 months ago, and I just now heard back after calling multiple times (8 times I think?) that they canβt verify my insurance because of a technical error. They claimed they couldnβt contact my insurance which is %100 factually incorrect as I have myself done insurance verification with Medicaid patients, and even contacted my dental insurance who told me they have a phone number available for verifications. I had to become extremely pushy to get anyone to assist me, and then when they finally answered the phone, they were condescending and entirely unhelpful. I finally gave up and Iβm seeing another provider in another city. Although, they refused to give me a referral which will make me have to pay out of pocket for my new consult. Truly an insane process, as someone who worked in healthcare I can say without a doubt this office is very incompetent and under equipped to support patients, and they seem to have a discriminatory attitude towards people on Medicaid. I just gave up because after my last interaction it was clear they wer

I had a fairly minor biopsy done yesterday. It was led by Jessica McGee. She and her team were friendly and made sure I was comfortably supportive during the procedure along with making sure I understood post-biopsy instructions. I cannot speak to the long term outcome but so far it is healing as expected. I am also following the post-biopsy guidelines to ensure proper healing. Yesterday I called and was assisted within a few rings after the initial automated greeting. Today I received a followup call that I missed. I called back and it was picked up quickly again. I was then transferred to the nurse on duty. Both the receptionist and the nurse were helpful. I see some of the reviews indicate that it is hard to reach somebody. I saw one receptionist on duty when I arrived yesterday which may make it harder to reach someone when it's busy.
